"MY WORLD":
Experiences, people, objects, places, patterns, and stories that are within my immediate field of awareness constitute the only world that I, as a separate being, am interested in … my “world” can be very small and self-absorbing or huge and global at any given moment.

"IS A REFLECTION":
A reflection is first my perception of the experience … then my emotional reaction to the perception…and finally my actions, words, behaviors that are displayed. I run the experience through my filters and reflect it back to others. This is a very critical concept as it places the responsibility squarely on me. What do I want to put back into the world? Love or anger? Fear or acceptance?

"OF THE FLAME IN MY HEART":
The flame is the life-force divine energy that flows through me. It flows as freely or is as blocked as my intentions allow. The flame may be a mere ember or a blazing inferno. It is an expression of the love, balance and tranquility that fills me or lack thereof. While the flame may burn brightly with love, compassion, caring and harmony, there may still be seeds of prejudice, deceit, greed or indifference. As with any bright light, we may see things that disturb us … then the choice becomes to turn away or to face it directly. The flame can ‘change with the wind’, ‘turn on a dime’ … all connected to my intentions and how I choose to experience each moment. It is an energetic representation of the totality of my lifetime. Is the time now right to change old patterns that are being reflected back to me? My heart is quite simply the part of me that transcends the ego. It is connected to God, is from God, is God … the capacity of my heart to nurture a pure and loving flame allows the clearest reflection of God back into the world. A most humbling endeavor.
